I’m still pretty sad and shocked about it. Through LDRBN, I was able to make so many amazing friends that not only inspired me, but supported me in my own long distance relationship.
Before I joined LDRBN, I owned a blog on Tumblr just to find others who were in the same situation that I was in.
I knew nobody close to me who could understand what I was going through and it excited me to see that Tumblr had a huge LDR community. They really made me feel less alone and kept me strong.
Fast forward to about 2 years later in 2015, I found LDRBN and joined without really knowing what I was getting into. I actually started writing legitimate blog posts about our story and my experiences.
All of a sudden, people started noticing us and responding back with their own experiences and questions. What touched my heart the most was that people started saying that we were inspiring and that we gave them hope in their long distance relationships.
Now the little blog I had that was just meant to connect with others and help me cope with the pain of distance became something more.
It became a blog to help other people in long distance relationships like me- whether that be posts on advice and tips or just making them smile and laugh from my shenanigans with Cruz.
Therefore, I want to thank LDRBN for not only giving me wonderful friends, but for making me realize that I have a passion to help people through my love for writing and blogging.
